At 4am the UK Storm Chasers arrived home from the student union after being awake for 23 hours!! However we were woken by the sound of thunder in the morning and after a short data update we headed east again on the M25. We punched through the squall line and tried to get further ahead for photo opportunities. However the line decayed rapidly as predicted by the GFS.

Just before we turned around we ran across some massive flash flooding in Chipping Ongar. 7 cars were left abandoned and a small van was up to its roof at one point in flooding triggered by the storms. See photos!!
